Most DAS projects begin with the General Contractor. They are the first to identify the requirement for either Public Safety and/or Cellular In-Building DAS. WSS works closely with GC’s, Electrical, Low-Voltage and Fire Safety contractors nationwide.

When Ryan Construction needed Public Safety DAS designed and installed at the State Farm complex in Tempe, AZ, they call on WSS to develop a plan to treat over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of below grade parking, constructed below 5 office buildings. The entire project totaled more than 2,000,000 sq. ft. overall.

Ryan’s project had some unique requirements. Each of the 5 office buildings and the parking structure needed to be have its own DAS, so that the State Farm would have the option to operate, lease, or sale, each build independently. Additionally, Ryan needed the DAS installed first in the parking structure, then in each office building, as each was completed, so they could obtain an occupancy-permit for them individually.

The project ran for more than two years, before construction was completed.
